Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me
Supervising Producer

passion is
my
telling
your
story
I am a nonfiction production creative based in Los Angeles. I grew up in a Silicon Valley home that gave out walnuts on Halloween, and I escaped to Boston where I earned a degree in Broadcast Journalism from Emerson College.
My 20+ year career creating premium nonfiction content includes exploring mental health from North America to Africa for the feature documentary Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me, chronicling the rise and fall of Death Row Records for MTV News, documenting life-saving rats, being embedded with storm chasers, co-creating and selling a TV docu-series about a chef, photographing Morgan Freeman & Tommy Lee Jones on set of their movie, and directing Channing Tatum in tear-away pants.
My TV credits include producing & directing true stories about real people for Apple TV+, Discovery+, Nat Geo, Food Network, Showtime, Bravo, Oxygen, NBC, CBS, MTV, CMT, and TLC.
Documentary digital credits include producing, directing & editing spots for Meta, Innerworld, Lifelock, Desert Magazine, Rejuvila, and AwareAwakeAlive – plus birthography and legacy/memoir work for private clients.
I am a member of the Producers Guild of America, and I serve on the board of Just DeClare Foundation, whose mission is to create awareness and support for mental health in the arts community.
My passion for mental health storytelling began in 2008 when I documented a community in mourning, and my path was cemented after I sat in a remote African village with a Swahili translator interviewing strangers about struggle and suicide.

My Mission
to rewrite the story around mental health
one person at a time
As Supervising Producer of Selena Gomez: My Mind And Me, I interviewed 70 people throughout urban & rural Kenya and across America about their mental health challenges.
I’ve worked with sensitive subject matter throughout my career, profiling humans with lived experience: trauma survivors, grieving families + communities, and people navigating their mental disorders.
But when I was sitting in a mud hut in a remote African village talking about struggle and suicide with strangers – using a Swahili translator – I knew I was exactly where I was supposed to be.
I love talking to you about your trauma, your turning points, finding out the way your pain manifests, and how that pain has shaped your life – because the lightness you feel after sharing your private pain is palpable.
Providing a warm safe space for humans to open up about topics and feelings we’re rarely asked about – and helping shape & share stories of hope – is my passion and my purpose.
